We noticed that when we were 5 and 10 we listened to mostly what we were exposed to from television shows. We didn't know many genres except for those. We listened to songs that were played around the house and what our parents allowed us to listen to. These songs don't say that much about us but more about our surroundings. They reflect the people we grew up with.
When we were 15 and 19 we began to branch out of the music we grew up with and began branch out and listened to songs that reflected more of who we are. We were influenced by more people when we were 15. Our music started to define who we are. We listened to a different genres to figure what type of music fit us best. These songs also reflect a bit more about our personality than the music from when we were 5 and 10.
This showed us our growth over time of who we are. We learned that when we were little we were easily influenced. Our taste of music changes because we have to find ourselves through our music we listen to different genres and find out which defines us best. Now our music helps us feel comfortable. The songs from when we are 15 and 19 reflects more our beliefs and gives us identity.
