As we grew into young teenagers, we realized we fell more into following what our friends were interested in. They say young minds are highly influential and we believe that was definitely true we were surrounded by our friends. We quickly picked up their habits and interests. We are interested in what we are exposed to and when we have a group of friends, we all tend to like the same thing. At this age, we usually do not accept different thoughts or interests. We usually all want to fit in and therefore we are interested in what the majority likes. Because of this, we do not have our own true identity at this age.
Our generation today pretty much listens to all different genres. Most of us listen to music on the radio and we listen to all the popular songs. We might be fans of hip-hop or r&b but we can still listen to country because its on the radio and it's popular.
